A cloroquina NÃO diminuiu #covid19 mortalidade.’
HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE – Recovery trial results finally out – and hopefully puts nail in coffin. Out of 4700 people randomized… HCQ did NOT lower #covid19 mortality. It anything it was trending in wrong direction. Thread 🧵 https://t.co/6Iu0NEejON pic.twitter.com/6l85Nmz4id

3) “Patients allocated to hydroxychloroquine were less likely 40 to be discharged from hospital alive within 28 days (60.3% vs. 62.8%; rate ratio 0.92)”. So hospital discharge is actually bad for HCQ. pic.twitter.com/z9myA4eBXV

5) Bottomline- HCQ didn’t lower mortality. If anything, those randomized to HCQ were discharged from hospital SLOWER than usual care controls. And those randomized to HCQ were ventilated/died (composite) more quickly. No diff by age, gender, early/late, and by severity. #covid19
